Then I get out the tent body. I lay it down and stake it out. Next I take out the poles and assemble them into two poles, and put these into the tent. Voila. Done. I move my bike next to the tent and attach the tent to the bike using my two bungees.

Next I take out the termarest, open the valve and throw it in the tent. This is followed by the sleeping bag. Then all the luggage goes in. I climb inside and zip the door to guard against the wind and cold. I first secure the tent poles into the velco straps holding them to the tent body. Then I put on fleece everything, for the pre-sleep time. Eating. Here, too cold, so eat inside the tent. For sleep, strip down to cotton boxer short underwear and silk shirt. The bag is rated to -12 and it is downright toasty.
